First Friday Art Walk Shuttle Update
Planning Continues for Bremerton's Community Shuttle Pilot
Mobility for All continues to make progress toward launching a community shuttle pilot for Bremerton's First Friday Art Walk.
The shuttle is being developed as part of the Sustainable Electric Mobility Bremerton (SEMBrem) initiative and is intended to help residents and visitors more easily explore downtown Bremerton while connecting key destinations throughout the community.
Connecting with the Community
As planning efforts continue, Mobility for All has been participating in Bremerton's First Friday Art Walk with an informational booth in Quincy Square.
These events have provided an opportunity to introduce the SEMBrem initiative, answer questions, gather community feedback, and share updates on upcoming transportation programs, including the planned community shuttle and electric carshare network.
We're grateful for the conversations, ideas, and encouragement we've received from residents, business owners, and visitors as we continue developing the program.
Building the Foundation
While the shuttle is not yet operational, important work is actively moving forward behind the scenes.
The team is currently working through vehicle acquisition, insurance requirements, operating procedures, and route planning to ensure the program launches safely and successfully. An electric shuttle vehicle has been identified, and planning efforts continue as we move toward deployment.
At the same time, Mobility for All has been meeting with local businesses, property owners, and community partners to establish convenient shuttle stop locations throughout the service area.
Shuttle Stop Planning Underway
Potential stop locations are currently being finalized throughout the planned route, including:
Quincy Square
Bremerton Marina
Downtown Bremerton
Callow Avenue
Manette
The goal is to create a simple, easy-to-use loop connecting some of Bremerton's most popular destinations, making it easier for residents and visitors to experience First Friday Art Walk without worrying about parking, traffic, or moving their vehicle between stops.
Mobility for All is working closely with local businesses, property owners, and community partners to confirm stop locations and ensure the route is convenient, accessible, and responsive to community needs.
Looking Ahead
The First Friday shuttle pilot remains an important part of the broader SEMBrem vision to expand transportation options and improve mobility throughout Bremerton.
As vehicle procurement, insurance, route planning, and stop confirmations continue, additional updates will be shared regarding service hours, launch timing, and rider information.
We appreciate the enthusiasm and support we've received from community partners and community members and look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
